  4. Attached in this archive is version 1.01.00 of AMIGANTT, a simple project
  5. definition and management tool developed for the Amiga (TM).  Please read
  6. through this file and the documentation file before beginning to use the
  7. program.

  18. This program is provided as SHAREWARE.    It may be freely copied and distributed
  19. as long as there is no charge above a nominal fee for media and copying.  If
  20. you find the program useful and would like to be kept on a mailing list for
  21. future enhancements you may become a registered user by sending your name
  22. and address plus $15.00 to the author.    Registered users may also receive a
  23. copy of the source for the program, if they desire, at no additional cost.

  25. Permission is granted for this software to be posted to bulletin boards as long
  26. as all the files in the archive are kept intact.  Permission is also granted
  27. to Fred Fish to include this version of the software in his Fish Disks
  28. collection.

  30. Contents of the ARC file:
  31.   AMIGANTT     -- the main program, which can be run from CLI or Workbench
  32.   AMIGANTT.inf -- an icon file (for Workbench access) which should be renamed
  33.           to AMIGANTT.info
  34.   AMIGANTT.doc -- the full documentation set for AMIGANTT
  35.   TESTPROJ.dat -- a 'test project' data file
  36.   READ.ME      -- this file

  38. Known Anomolies:
  39.   1.  There are a number of options (sorts, move task, resource & pert windows)
  40.       that are not yet implemented.  These are documented and will be added
  41.       in future releases.
  42.   2.  Currently, printouts from AMIGANTT assume that you have 132 characters
  43.       available across the page.  If you are using 8 1/2" by 11" paper (as most
  44.       of us seem to) then you should change your PREFERENCES to 15 pitch or
  45.       put the printer into COMPRESSED mode before printing from AMIGANTT.
  46.       Very soon, AMIGANTT will be enhanced to look at the PREFERENCES and will
  47.       send the appropriate control code to make sure the printouts look good.
  48.   3.  Due to a bug in the Lattice C sprintf function, 3 digit numbers in the
  49.       totals in the printouts are incorrect.  As soon as Lattice gets the patch
  50.       out, I will release a new version of AMIGANTT with the correction.

  53.       author at any of the addresses above.

  56.   Expected enhancements for the next release of AMIGANTT are:

  58.     a) ARP file requestor and interface
  59.     b) ARexx interface
  60.     c) Depiction of 'floating' tasks
  61.     d) Definition of project milestones
  62.     e) Upgrade or removal of the limitation on the number of tasks
  63.     f) Allowing other projects as tasks
  64.     g) Dynamic Resource and Pert Chart windows where these graphical
  65.        depictions of the project will change as the tasks are added,
  66.        modified, or deleted
  67.     h) MOVE TASK function will be added
  68.     i) SORT menu options will be operational
  69.     j) AMIGANTT will have an option to produce icons for projects to
  70.        allow direct loading from Workbench
